Homemade Doner Recipe

​​​​Doner has become one of the most popular street foods in Turkey, Europe and Middle East with different variations. But what can we do, when it's not possible to find a doner stall nearby when we're really craving it? We make doner at home. The best part is, once you make it, doner can be stored away in a freezer for a long time.  Here is our homemade doner recipe:​

Ingredients:

  • 2 tbsp yoghurt

  • Chopped onion

  • Paprika

  • Salt

  • Black pepper

  • Thyme

  • Olive oil

  • 500 gr entrecote​​

Method:​

​In a large bowl, mix all the ingredients except entrecote. After stirring the mixture well, pour it over the entrecote and mix with your hands. Fold your meat into a stretch film. For better marination, your meat should wait in the fridge at least 6-7 hours​. After the marination, slice your meat and grill. Serve your doner within pita bread. Enjoy!​
