Homemade Doner Recipe
Doner has become one of the most popular street foods in Turkey, Europe and Middle East with different variations. But what can we do, when it's not possible to find a doner stall nearby when we're really craving it? We make doner at home. The best part is, once you make it, doner can be stored away in a freezer for a long time. Here is our homemade doner recipe:
Ingredients:
2 tbsp yoghurt
Chopped onion
Paprika
Salt
Black pepper
Thyme
Olive oil
500 gr entrecote
Method:
In a large bowl, mix all the ingredients except entrecote. After stirring the mixture well, pour it over the entrecote and mix with your hands. Fold your meat into a stretch film. For better marination, your meat should wait in the fridge at least 6-7 hours. After the marination, slice your meat and grill. Serve your doner within pita bread. Enjoy!
