Steamed Sardine Recipe

When cooked with the right herbs and spices, sardine is a delight. Steamed sardine is a great fit for any rakı table. Read our recipe below and find out the steps for this delicious fish dish.

Ingredients:

  • 1/2kg sardine (cleaned & butterfly-shaped)

  • 14-15 cherry tomatoes

  • 2 potatoes

  • 3-4 cloves of garlic

  • Extra virgin olive oil

  • 1/2 lemon juice

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • Parsley​

Method:

In a large ovenware, add some olive oil, sliced potatoes, onion, tomatoes, garlic and fishes in order. Add 1+1/2 cup water and fresh lemon juice. Cover with a foil and put the oven. Cook 35-40 minutes in 375F. Serve with parsley and Yeni Rakı.
