Yeni Rakı Tasted Blueberry Cake Recipe
We know the harmony of rakı and desserts, as you can read it here. Desserts have been served at rakı tables for ages but what about updating a dessert recipe with an aniseed kick? This blueberry cake recipe might sound ordinary until you realize you have to soak the blueberries in Yeni Rakı. It's not that tricky, and we're sharing the whole method. Here is our Yeni Rakı tasted bluberry cake recipe:
Ingredients:
150g butter
150g sugar
2 eggs
1 + 3/4 cups self-rising flour
100g yogurt
12cl Yeni Rakı
Blueberries
Icing sugar
Method:
Beat the eggs and sugar together in a bowl till it's become pale and creamy. While beating the eggs and sugar add cold butter and continue to beat until the mixture well combined.

Brush your cake pan with melted butter and place mixture to the pan. Add the raki soaked blueberries over the top. Bake 30-35 minutes at 370F. Remove the cake from the oven and set aside to cool slightly. Dust with icing sugar.
